Nutt Farm Suri Alpacas is owned and operated by Bill and Barbara Nutt. We are located in Canton, Georgia, about 45 miles north of Atlanta.

We became interested in alpacas in 1997 while looking for something to do with our land. The first alpacas that we saw were at the SEAA show in Conyers, GA in 1998. We began researching alpacas and joined AOBA. We later joined SEAA and the Georgia Alpaca Association, and Bill currently serves on the GAA Board of Directors.

We have owned and bred alpacas since 2004.Our herd currently consists of thirteen suri alpacas in a variety of colors including black, gray and fancy. Daisey and Duke are our Great Pyrenees livestock guardian dogs.

We have attended many seminars on alpaca care, including reproductive and neonatal clinics. We offer small-farm advantages. We do all the alpaca care and farm work ourselves. The alpacas are literally in our back yard, so it is easy to keep an eye on them.

There are many advantages to the alpaca business. Barbara gets a creative outlet knitting scarves and wraps (alpaca, of course), making gift baskets, jewelry and floral arrangements including wreathes. Bill enjoys operating the tractors and other tools required for daily farm chores. The tax considerations are another big advantage.

Our goals are to breed for excellent confirmation, luster, and easy handling. Our alpacas’ bloodlines include: Ameripaca’s Maximilian; Ridgeview’s Suri Lee, Peach Boy, and Blackout; and our own Sight Unseen.

We offer breeding services including drive-by breedings. Herdsires are available for inspection at our farm. As we expand our farm we expect to offer additional services including boarding.
