Doing things a little differently...

JACKPOT PAYOUTS

All entries placing third or better in each halter and several production classes will receive monetary winnings commensurate with their placing and the total number of entries in said class. We paid over $7,000 in jackpot prizes in 2009.

THE ROYAL ALPACA CHALLENGE PARTY & SPONSOR HOUR (Complimentary!)

We invite all exhibitors and vendors to join the GAA in celebrating the Royal Alpaca Challenge Show & honoring our sponsors. Friday night a "Sponsor Hour" party will allow you to relax with friends while listening to some of our home grown music by "The Nearly Brothers" as well as nosh on some really good food...all complimentary. Saturday night, join us for the GAA RAC party. Heavy appetizers, good conversation, cash bar & entertainment on arena mezzanine.

THE FIBER LOUNGE

A room dedicated to the love of alpaca fiber! This is where you find the 2011 Spin-Off results and see fiber arts demonstrations. Shop with a host of vendors selling all things fiber, alpaca and more! We will also host our needle felting station and drop spindle stations in the Fiber Lounge, where you can play to your hearts content with the directions and materials provided for you. Or just sit in a comfy chair and share the fiber arts with new friends.

THE ROYAL "LOVE LOUNGE"

The Love Lounge and Herdsire Breeding is offered as a convenience to our exhibitors. November is a great time to breed for fall cria. If you have at least one animal registered for a halter class at RAC you may also sign up to bring a herdsire or dam to conveniently make the love connection and breed right at the show. No fees to do so. However if you would like to enter your herdsire in the Royal "Love Lounge" he will be featured on the RAC website, listed on one of our National email blasts as well a stall listing in the showbook, all for a small fee. Some rules and restrictions apply, for details go to the Downloadable Forms Page and download the "Love Lounge and Breeding Form. The herdsire website will be active soon.

HIGH VOLUME OF VISITOR TRAFFIC

The show is located 28 minutes from Atlanta. We have an extensive marketing program put together to encourage outside visitors and folks interested in learning more about alpacas and alpaca end products. Our gal, Sherry Ammen of Kryia Suri Alpacas did a fabulous job for us last year. We had a wonderful turnout of public in 2010 and expect nothing less in 2011!

"FIRST TIME SHOWING" INFORMATION PACKS

A helpful information pack is available to all first time show exhibitors upon registration. Designed to answer your questions about what you need to do to prepare for the show and what to expect upon arrival in regards to check-in, show ring preparation, and ring etiquette. The more you know ahead of time the more you will enjoy your experience.

EASY AND ORGANIZED CHECK IN

Easy check in, especially for the ROYAL and PEACH SPONSORS in 2011. You will be able to drive in the arena, do color check, unload and load at the end of the show, right in front of your stalls!!! Doesn't get any easier then that.
